The ZN414 is a IC in form of a transistor that makes it easy to build a MW-radio-circuit (it even has its own Wikipedia page). As analogous model you can use MK484, for example. The left part is the receiver circuit, the right part is the amplifier.
You can receive traffic broadcast very clearly (German WDR), however, you shouldn’t place a TFT next to the antenna as otherwise signal noise will increase. You can also outsource the antenna and place it close to a window, for instance.
To increase the antenna and to decrease signal noise you can connect a cable to the 4mm socket.
